Pastor Joe Rice

Joe Rice was saved in 1985 at The Door in Tempe, Arizona. His decision was influenced by his father’s conversion while serving a sentence in San Quentin State Prison. In 1991, he pastored his first church in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1994, after establishing a church in Phoenix, he was sent to Auburn, Washington, to pioneer a new work. In 1996, he felt a calling to enter into missionary work and was given the opportunity to pioneer a church in George, South Africa. After 5 years of building a church in George, he pioneered again in Cape Town, South Africa for another 4 years. Both of those works are still thriving to this day. In 2005, he, along with his wife Heather and children, moved to San Diego, California, where he is currently serving The Potter's House San Diego.
Youth Director Nehemiah Negron

Nehemiah Negron was born and raised in the Clairemont Mesa congregation. God has always taken care of him, even through the immaturity of his youth and common church kid struggle. During the Summer of 2010, before his senior year of high school, he decided to give his all to Jesus Christ. “Who am I living for?” was the constant thought that drove this decision. He knew the truth, but now he had to make a decision if he was going to live for the Truth or his own selfish desires. He made up his mind to serve the Lord no matter what and finally surrendered to him with no more games, fear, or lies. His favorite bible verse is Psalms 37:4, and since his salvation he's taken “delighting in the Lord” it to heart, and God quickly blessed him and gave him the “desires of his heart.” In August, 2013 he got married and in March 2015 he and his wife, Bridgette, welcomed their first child, Lorraine. They enjoy serving the church and are excited to see all that God will do in their lives.
