We are excited to announce that we will be resuming in-person services starting on Sunday, May 31!
San Diego County leaders announced on Tuesday that churches will be allowed to reopen if they have a “Safe Reopening Plan” posted and follow all the newly-released guidelines. We are excited to finally meet again in person. As an Area Leadership Church, we are trying to be a good example and follow these guidelines as they are released. Please note that in order to adhere to these guidelines, there may be some changes to the way we traditionally operate. A copy of our current “Safe Reopening Plan” will be posted at the Main Church Entrance and is available on our Website and App.
Please note that Pastor is looking for 3-5 quick testimonies each service.
Please let us know if you will be bringing visitors.
We encourage you to arrive 15-20 minutes early in order to familiarize yourself with some of these changes.
Here are a few of the main changes. I encourage you to read the full plan in order to be prepared for any differences.
· Safety
o A health check station will be setup at each entrance. All workers, congregants, and visitors will have their temperature checked before entrance.
o We ask that only those that are not exhibiting any symptoms of illness and self-attest to not being sick or ill seek admission.
o Face coverings will be required for everyone except children 2 years or younger. Please provide your own face coverings as our supplies may be limited.
o Hand Sanitizer will be available and Hand washing areas will be clearly marked.
o Note: Playgrounds will be closed and water drinking fountains will be disabled.
· Social Distancing
o The amount of people allowed in the building is limited. Please be aware that as we approach the capacity limit, we may have to limit the amount of congregants and visitors.
o We will leave our parking lot open for “drive in services” to accommodate those that may arrive after we reach capacity.
o Those that elect to participate in “drive in services” will be expected to follow all existing social distancing guidelines.
o Normal entrances and pathways may have changed. Please be aware of any posted signage. Ushers will be available to answer any questions or direct traffic as necessary.
o Please arrive and plan to leave as a full group. Groups should only consist of household members. Ushers will sit each household with each other.
o Please follow all directions to allow for a timely and orderly dismissal. Ushers will be available to assist with the timing and direction of traffic during dismissal.
o Bathroom capacity may be limited to maintain social distance.
o Common areas will be closed to congregation and interaction. There is to be no gathering or grouping during arrival or dismissal.
o All children are to remain in care of their household units and not interact with children outside of their household at any time.
o There will not be any Nursery or Children’s Church as all children are to remain with their household units.
· Cleaning
o Our church will undergo thorough and rigorous cleaning after every service in accordance with the CDC standards.
o If you wish to volunteer to help with cleaning, please contact Emmanuel Zepeda.
We understand that, as a congregation, there are varying levels of caution to returning to in-person services. As a result, we will continue to stream all of our services via hope4sd.live on YouTube. We will continue to encourage non-in person attendance by those who are sick, exhibiting symptoms, having family that are ill, vulnerable, or those who wish to remain cautious.
No matter if you attend in person or join us through our streaming services, we want to remind that Pastor Rice remains available at 858- 776-9355.
Please keep in mind that the situation can change quickly and we will notify you of any changes in our method of meeting. We reserve the right to limit anyone’s attendance based adherence to the guidelines posted.
