Joe Rice was saved in 1985 at The Door in Tempe, Arizona. His decision was influenced by his father’s conversion while serving a sentence in San Quentin State Prison. In 1991, he pastored his first church in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1994, after establishing a church in Phoenix, he was sent to Auburn, Washington, to pioneer a new work. In 1996, he felt a calling to enter into missionary work and was given the opportunity to pioneer a church in George, South Africa. After five years of building a church in George, he pioneered again in Cape Town, South Africa for another four years. Both of those works are still thriving to this day. In 2005, he, along with his wife Heather and children, moved to San Diego, California, where he is currently serving The Potter's House San Diego.

Assistant Pastor Conrad Hyler

Growing up without any exposure to Christianity, Conrad Hyler surrendered his life to Christ in early 1998 at the age of 17. After serving in various ministries at his church, including roles as a drama leader and Bible study leader, Conrad felt a burden for the lost and felt called to ministry. In 2015, he and his wife Lucy answered that call by pioneering a new church in Normal Heights, California. After two years, Conrad and Lucy returned to The Potter's House in San Diego, where they continued serving in various roles. In November 2022, Conrad was appointed to the position of Assistant Pastor, where he supports Pastor Joe Rice in overseeing the church's operations and ministries.
